Control Center Specialist (Afternoon shift)


Job Details

Under broad guidance of the Customer Service Control Center Supervisor, you will become an integral part of a high-performing central customer-focused team in Vilnius and provide customers with courteous, professional, and efficient back-office service at all times. Colaborating closely with World Courier offices in Nordic countries, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring shipments, while also reporting essential updates related to specific high-volume transport projects. You will be the point of contact for our selected internal and external customers – usually by phone or via email.

  • Engage in effective communication with external and internal customers
  • Receive and reply to inquiries via email, phone
  • Monitor and handle shared email inboxes associated with several departments
  • Plan and execute EPL (Emergency Parts Logistics) and lifesaving shipment orders (export and import)
  • Route shipments, considering commodity and volume, temperature control, and transit time requirements
  • Monitor and track ongoing shipments, react to any deviations
  • Maintain accurate information regarding shipment status
  • Work with transport documentation
  • Carry out Customs formalities (Import/Export)
  • Adhere to all procedures, work instructions, and regulatory  requirements in performing the job
  • Build and maintain relationships with other World Courier offices, clients, agents, airlines, handling agents and suppliers
  • Make suggestions to improve existing process, efficiency and consistency to develop the performance of the department

Working hours: Rotating schedule including every other weekend. Working hours on weekdays – 16:00 to 02:00, working hours on weekend – 10:00 to 19:00. Work schedule will be provided to employee in advance.

Rotating on call duty: on weekdays from 02:00 to 09:00, on weekends from 19:00 to 10:00.

Training hours: During the training (2-4 weeks) must be flexible to work core business hours 09:00-18:00 (weekdays only)

Working on public holidays is required and will be paid according to Lithuanian legislation at a rate of 2.

Night-time hours from 22:00 to 02:00 will be paid at a rate of 1.5.

On call duty is paid according to the Lithuanian legislation.

We offer the opportunity for full-time remote work, so candidates from other Lithuanian towns besides Vilnius are welcome.

We offer on-the-job training which allows you the opportunity to learn and begin performing your job duties and hands-on training.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferable)
  • Previous experience in a Customer Service setting and a proactive customer focus
  • Experience in Logistics would be an advantage
  • Fluency in English and effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to represent a positive and professional image
  • Good organizational skills and paying attention to details
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and investigative skills to bring issues to resolution
