RTR Accountant


What you will be doing

Join our team as a Record to report Accountant, a pivotal role supporting our Netherland based office. Reporting directly to our Shared Services Senior Director, you’ll dive into a diverse set of accounting duties daily. In this close-knit team, individual initiative and a strong sense of responsibility are key.

Working closely with a range of stakeholders, this role offers ample opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the month-end-close process and ensuring that all closing tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Managing the fixed asset administration, monitoring investments, calculating depreciation, and taking care of charging.
  • Supervising work related to the (sub)general ledger administration, assessing information, results, detecting and solving imperfections.
  • Ensuring that reservations are drawn up and other manual corrections are prepared in a timely manner.
  • Processing of manual journal vouchers.
  • Ensure the preparation of the profit and loss account, balance sheet, key figures, and concise explanations.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation and follow up on identified issues/ risks.
  • Preparing and filing VAT returns.
  • Responsible for the monthly execution of internal controls, including initiating improvements and annual testing of the controls.
  • Support with audits (accountant, tax, internal).
  • Initiating, leading, and participating in (cross-departmental) projects related to RTR administration processes/KPI’s/automations.
  • Maintaining a good relationship with the business stakeholders and other finance colleagues (accounts receivable, payable, business control).

What your background should look like 

Additional skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting with emphasis on General Ledger and month-end-closing activities required.
  • Fluent Professional English (written and spoken) required.
  • GAAP experience and general ERP system experience preferred (preferably SAP).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel is a must.
  • Ability to demonstrate persistency and adapt to change.
  • Well-organized and result driven mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving with strong analytical skills.
