What is the Engineering Academy?

The Engineering Academy is designed to accelerate your tech career at Vinted. This intensive, hands-on programme features training sessions led by our very own experts, who will mentor and guide you through our technology and ways of working.

The programme kicks off with a 2-month induction, covering a broad range of topics – from best practices with Git to understanding how Kubernetes operates at Vinted. It’s a challenging yet rewarding experience that will give you a solid foundation to succeed in your future teams!

The Engineering Academy runs for 6 months and includes:

• 2 months of technical induction: collaborate with other Academy students in product teams, refine your skills & knowledge with a mentor & in technical workshops.
• 4 months in a real Vinted engineering team: experience day-to-day life of a Vinted engineer.
• Ongoing learning sessions: join learning sessions and build your personal skills.

You’ll be hired on a 6 months contract, with the opportunity to join Vinted permanently after completing the Academy and continue growing your career with the skills you’ve gained.

Who are we looking for?

• Some experience with object-oriented languages such as Ruby, Java, PHP, or similar.
• Understanding of backend frameworks (Symfony, Ruby on Rails, Django, Laravel, etc.) would be a plus.
• Dabbled in MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch? That’s amazing!
• Willing to learn new things.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ready to commit, own, and create.
• Have a Github account.

When?
