ServiceNow Development Team Manager

What you will be doing

Role acts as a Manager for ServiceNow CMDB development team, including technical guidance, people leadership and vendor management activities. Provides guidance for solution implementation and regularly collaborates with stakeholders. This role requires effective communication skills, which is a must for this role.

This role correspondingly includes, but is not limited to:

  • Participate and drive product roadmap in CMDB area.
  • Define teams KPI’s for new development, deployment, documentation, and maintenance activities.
  • Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure that non-functional requirements are met in the system (data security, solution integrity, solutions are testable and does not impact performance, etc.).
  • Stay current with capabilities of ServiceNow platform.
  • Be proactive and create environment for knowledge sharing.
  • Capable of estimating solution complexity based on time, cost, and quality.

What your background should look like 

  • 5+ years of professional experience in design and development in ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of CMDB structure and discovery.
  • ServiceNow solution architect or technical lead experience.
  • Strong Knowledge of ServiceNow API.
  • System integration experience using web services and other web-based technologies such as REST/SOAP.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow capabilities across the platform.
  • Experience implementing best-practices and procedures.
  • Experience in professional communications with stakeholders at all levels, good written and oral communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Practical experience with agile methodologies/tools.
  • Experience in prioritizing diverse projects and deliverables.
  • Proven ability to drive results and readiness across multiple solutions.
  • Experience identifying and resolving potential trade-offs or conflicts among architectural options, and ability to align this with business outcomes or impacts.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification.
