Senior Functional Test Engineer

Your tasks

  • Developing, purchasing, installing, debugging, and releasing test equipment for electronic products manufactured in the location.
  • Creating technical specifications, defining concepts, and setting down flowcharts.
  • Collaboration with suppliers and other cross-functional departments to achieve project milestones.
  • Support of the Maintenance Team.
  • Equipment industrialization and installation.
  • Process standardization and troubleshooting of production equipment.
  • Continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes regarding capability, robustness, and capacity.
  • Training of maintenance technicians.
  • Creating manufacturing and maintenance instructions.
  • Process capability and statistical analysis.
  • Ensuring equipment and procedure standardization according to internal company technical and quality standards.
  • Developing testing approach improvements, working together with R&D.
  • Participating in functional area-related activities with other Continental location engineering departments.
  • Supporting and advising newcomers, providing trainings and mentorship.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical or electronics) or other related field.
  • At least 4 years of working experience in the testing field of automotive (preferably) manufacturing.
  • Quality Orientation, Quality tools, and Quality in Launch.
  • Technical realization of production test equipment.
  • Knowledge of C/C++/C# programming languages (at least 3 years).
  • Prior experience in NI LabWindows CVI (at least 2 years).
  • Prior experience in NI TestStand (at least 2 years).
  • Prior experience in NI LABVIEW is an advantage.
  • Process Capability and Process documentation.
  • Product and Prototype build knowledge.
  • Good English knowledge.
